July 5 - Rothenburg & Gebsattle Germany

Our first official day in Europe! Ted Cook picked us all up at the Frankfurt airport in a 9 passenger van. There were 8 of us: Curt & Sue (me) Woolley, Sheree & Ted Cook (my sister and her husband - the official "tour" guide & driver), Dell & Jo Bullock (my folks) and Jennifer & Jeff (the Cook's close friends).

Our first stop in the afternoon was Rothenburg - and old medieval town - complete with a outer city walls and mote!

Famous street in Rothenburg

We lodged at Gastehous Lamm, Gebsattel Germany - so cute!!

We headed into town for dinner

What does this mean??

We liked the apfelschorle :-)

  2. It is a carbonated apple drink - but less sweet than the US counterpart.
