July 6 - Neuschwantstein Castle, Mittenwald, Switzerland and Leutasch, Austria

Today we started with the inspiration for the Cinderella Castle, the Neuschwanstein Castle. We rode the bus up - but then hiked down. Really beautiful scenery!

The tour times were really late in the day. We ate dinner in Mittenwald, Germany. Ted says it is usually a sleepy quiet town - but they were having a local beer fest. The place was hopping - complete with a band playing 80's American music on a stage! We ate at a butcher and had some fantastic schnitzel and some other interesting stuff :-) Didn't get any pictures, though.  It had a cool little stream that ran through the town and beautiful mountains surrounding it.
